It feels like I have been here much longer than only four years, but I guess I have to believe what my frontpage tells me XD
So, I came here 4 years ago, when I were 15 years old, and turning into 16 in couple months.
I heard about this website first time during my confirmation camp. One of my tutors were telling to other teens on the camp about this website and how he did have an account here where he submitted his art and writings.
So, I heard about dA one year before actual joining.
DeviantArt got my intrest first just because I really wanted to see what kind of art my tutor were uploading here.
There were just one tiny problem: after my confirmation camp I totally forgot the name of this website
I tried to find dA, but because my horrible english and lacking computer using skills, I couldn't find deviantART. Eventually I forgot the whole existence of this website.
I don't remember anymore what happened, but somehow I managed to found dA again almost a year later.
I was so excited about finding this art site again, and (after a tiny hesitating) I desided to make my own account here!
My first drawing which I uploaded to deviantART! (2010)
First drawings I uploaded here were made almost half a year earlier, which I had made before finding deviantART again.
During the first half a year in dA, I felt so embarassed to upload anything here. After seeing so amazing art made by other artists, I first felt that my art weren't great enough to upload here in the middle of the art pieces of professional artists.
I even considered to leave dA! But during my art class in upper comprehensive school, my art teacher (who were and still is my role model and best art teacher ever)
suddenly asked me that have I ever asked any feedback about my manga drawings from other manga drawers?
I think that this question made me to stay here. I wanted to get feedback from other artists about my drawings, and try to improve my drawing skills even better.Year 2010
From the very beginning most of my art had something to do with Naruto
I were totally hooked about these cool ninjas, so I made quite much fan art about Naruto -series and even created my first kunoichi OC Aisu.
The quality of my drawings weren't so good, because we didn't have a scanner at home yet.
So every time I uploaded something here, I had to wait for a sunny day, put the drawing on the sunlight and then take a picture of it with a tiny pocket digital camera XD Gosh how I hated to do that!
For my drawings I used black markers and colour pencils, sometimes I maybe used black ProMarkers but yeah, mostly everything were coloured with normal colour pencils.
In the end of the year 2010 I also found the music of Vocaloids
from the internet, and I instantly became a vocaloid fan XD Most of the art in my gallery is made during the year 2010! I were so productive then and I had more free time when to draw~
I think also that I made my biggest improve in my drawing skills during the year 2010.
I also started to take commissions and request in 2010. This is the first request I ever made 8DYear 2011
During the year 2011 I mostly drew my Naruto OC Aisu, Vocaloid -fan art and I also got interested about Touhou
-series. I also made quite many commissions back then.
I also challenged myself to try drawing different and more difficult poses. And I also finally got the idea how to use white repair lacquer in my drawings! 8'D
I also got tablet during this year so I could make tiny photo edition on the pictures.Year 2012
On year 2012 we finally got scanner in our home! The quality of the pictures I uploaded here got better, and I also practised more photo editing on my scanned drawings to make the final result look even better. Sometimes it worked, sometimes not XD
My free time also started to be very limited because of high school. Long school days and studying made me tired and ate my free time more and more...
<-- My personal favourite drawing I have ever made~Year 2013
I feel like that I didn't draw anything last year : /
Main reason for this is maybe the matriculation examinatons, and applying for place to study after high school. I were also the whole summer in exchange in Scotland, so I couldn't drew then either.
But on autumn I strated my new studies in an art school! >w<
I'm so happy that I got to this school, I feel like I have improved in drawing, and especially on painting so much!
I also started to like to colour with ProMarkers more than colour pencils, I liked how the marker made much smoothly colouring.
Aaand in the end of the year I transformed into a huge Attack on Titan
So here we are now! XD
